General Conference Session
Last weekend we went to the General Conference Session. I didn't get any pictures, but that's OK, cause I'll tell you all about what happened. I'll also add some pictures off of Google of the Georgia Dome and our hotel's lobby and elevators. The first night, Friday night, at 3:00, we checked into our hotel, the Hyatt Regency, while my dad found a parking space under the Georgia Dome because parking at the hotel cost $27 a day. We went to the Georgia World Congress Center ad looked at the booths and collected free stuff for a while. I got two GC Session pins! Then we went to the Georgia Dome. After about 2 minutes, my mom wanted to eat, so we left. We went to the CNN Center and ate at the Food Court there. We also ordered food for Sabbath, so we didn't have to buy on the Sabbath. I was amazed that the Seventh Day Adventists were the ones being recognized. Then we went back to the hotel and went swimming. The pool was outside, but it looked like it was inside because the buildings around it were so close together. Then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. The next day, Sabbath, we woke up at the early hour of 9:00 a.m. (I was up before then), and ate breakfast. We missed Sabbath School, but went to church, and left early to eat lunch before everyone else got out. After we ate lunch, we met lots of friends and talked for a while. Then we went to the booths again and looked around and got more free stuff. Then we went to the van and ate supper. After Sabbath was over, I went to the Atlanta Hard Rock Cafe and got some pins. Then we went to China Town in Atlanta so my mom could eat. Then we went home. We arrived home at about 12:30 p.m. As any normal person would do (except some), I went to bed. So that's what happened at GC Session. ~:-)
